The following terms have been tailored throughout ten years of design self-employment to protect both the client and designer during a working relationship.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE
A 50% of estimated graphic design and contingency costs are due upon beginning a project. Payment must be made before any work is started on a project. There are NO refunds on deposits, only design credit applied to the account. The Creative Vue reserves the right to invoice client at any time if project extends beyond projected completion date, or if the number of billable hours on the project exceeds the estimated project time. The remaining 50 percent is payable to The Creative Vue upon completion of the project, and before original artwork is supplied to the client.

PAYMENT METHODS
Payment is due upon receipt. Invoices may be paid by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express via paypal), check or e-check. A $25 fee will be assessed for all returned checks. PayPal credit card payments over $500 are subject to a fee equal to the PayPal fee.

LATE FEES
– 15 days late = 5% of total invoice amount will be applied to invoice or $15, whichever is greater
– 30 days late = 8% of total invoice amount will be applied to invoice or $30, whichever is greater
– 45 days late = 10% of total invoice amount will be applied to invoice or $50, whichever is greater

PRINTING AGREEMENT
Once an final approval has been received by The Creative Vue for any printing, we are not responsible for inaccuracies in the final product. It is important that before you submit payment and send final approval, that you review the pdf in detail. 100% of printing costs must be paid prior to submitting the project to print, unless credit has been established.

COMMUNICATION
The designer can be reached by telephone and email from Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 5:30pm GMT.

RIGHTS & OWNERSHIP
Rights: All services provided by the designer shall be for the exclusive use of the client other than for the designer’s promotional use. Upon payment of all fees, the following reproduction rights for all approved final designs created by the designer for this project shall be granted:

  • Client to gain full transferable rights to brand identity.
  • Client to gain full license to reproduce works through commercial printers.

Ownership: The client shall be entitled to full ownership of all final artwork created during the project upon full payment of the agreed fee.

CANCELLATION
If after project commencement client communication (face-to-face, telephone, or email) stops for a period of 180 days, the project can be cancelled, in writing by the designer, and ownership of all copyrights shall be retained by the designer. A cancellation fee for work completed shall be paid by the client, with the fee based on the stage of project completion. The fee will not exceed 100 percent of the total project cost.
